Turner & Scott: The Painter and the Poet

Exhibition marketing plan for The Abbotsford Trust’s 2018 seasonal exhibition, celebrating JMW Turner’s visit to Abbotsford and his friendship with Sir Walter Scott.  

The marketing plan encompassed posters and leaflets, exhibition and collection photography, as well as the creation of multimedia assets, including videos, animations and an exhibition slideshow, and digital content for a variety of online channels. 

Print

The print materials were based on the exhibition logo created by a contracted designer. Bright blue and yellow brush strokes were made the central point of all marketing materials, with the tag line ‘Discover the friendship of two cultural giants’ and the exhibition title displayed prominently. 

Photography

This was the first time The Abbotsford Trust’s own Turner water colours were on public display. Creating a variety of photographs allowed for usage of the images in marketing materials and merchandising.

Multimedia

Creation of a number of logo animations as well as an exhibition trailer for Abbotsford’s on site displays and the Trust’s online channels.
